“Sit Up Or You Are Out” – Kenny Ogungbe Warns Singer Jaywon

Jaywon

In what may be a very serious and stern warning, the front man of Kennis Music, Kenny Ogungbe has told one of the singers on the label, Jaywon, that he has to sit up or faced being thrown out into the streets.
It can be recalled that there has been grapevine news that the ‘This Year’ crooner was having issues with the label, with some even claiming that he had called it quits but Kennis Music’s parent company, Kennis Communications, came out immediately to debunk the story, saying that the ‘Madantin’ singer actually signed a 3-album deal and only one, ‘Meet Jaywon,’ has been released so far, stating that he must stay put and complete the three albums.
The statement also cemented the label’s position on the Jaywon’s issue by declaring that “discussion of Jaywon’s contract renewal is not on the front burner.”
While some industry buffs are of the opinion that Kennis Music has a track record of maltreating their artistes and tying them down to a contract that is not favourable and also not wanting them to walk out, pointing out to the situation that forced out 2Face, Eddy Remedy and Kelly Handsome as examples, others think the singers are actually the ones to be blamed in such situations.
Meanwhile, authorities in the industry has warned Jaywon to honour his contract with Kennis Music as Kelly Hansome who reneged on his, is yet to get his career back on track since then. A word, they say, is enough for the wise.

Lady Gaga wore Michael Jackson‘s clothes while working on her new album ‘ARTPOP’ after winning 55 items from his wardrobe at auction last year.
The ‘Applause‘ songstress won several items from the late King of Pop’s wardrobe at auction last year and tried to channel the legendary music star by wearing his sweater as she put the finishing touches on her new record, ‘ARTPOP’.
She said: ‘I recently bought a bunch of Michael Jackson’s clothes – his actual clothes from his tours. The idea was to keep them for him. I actually don’t really want to wear them; they’re Michael’s clothes.
‘[But] there’s a couple of pieces I have to the side and I have his sweaters that I put on – I wear that when we’re mixing and finish up a record. I feel something from the clothing.’ As well as keeping items for herself, the 27-year-old pop star says she has gifted some of the clothing to his relatives to remember him by.
In an interview with US radio show ‘On Air with Ryan Seacrest‘, she said: ‘I gave one of the sweaters to his godson and he really loved that. I just feel through clothes you can feel things.’  Gaga snapped up 55 personal items from Michael’s wardrobe – including one of his famous Swarovski-encrusted white gloves – at a Beverly Hills auction house last December.
She said at the time: ‘The 55 pieces I collected today will be archived and expertly cared for in the spirit and love of Michael Jackson, his bravery and his fans worldwide.’

We’re not ready to do that and even if we want to do that, the fee is very high…It’s one million naira for now‘, Rachael told NET over the phone add that the fee might go up as early as in a month’s time.

For Peter Okoye, Family Is Everything As He Plays With His Kids

Peter Okoye and kids

Peter Okoye, the other half of the famous P-Square and recently engaged father of two does not joke with his kids, Cameron and Fiona as he makes sure he spends quality time with them anytime he is at home due to his very busy schedule. Just as he and his twin brother, Paul, are planning to embark on a United States and Canada tour, the dotting father took out time to play the riding game with his two children. This is really a moving sight for some of us who could not afford these expensive toys as toddlers

Eedris Abdulkareem Disses Don Jazzy In New Song

Edrees Abdulkareem and Don Jazzy

Former Remedy front man, Eedris Abdulkareem has revisited the era of diss rap in a new song where he told Mavin Records head honcho, Don Jazzy that he is disappointed about a comment the music producer made recently.

Don Jazzy, who himself is a twitter demon, had tweeted thus: “If you decide that you want to do rap, there is one thing that you should put at the back of your mind; your parents are not proud of you whether you like it or not.

” But Eedris Abdulkareem says he intends to bring back what the rap game is known for, or rather what it should be right now, a bit controversial but exciting. In the track entitled “I go whooz you” in which he featured upcoming producer, singer and rapper, V-Tek, Eedris said he is not happy about the comment Don Jazzy made.

He took Don Jazzy apart in the track with this line among others: “Am a great fan of Don Jazzy but I am disappointed.

Don Jazzy say if you dey rap, say your papa no go dey proud…? That’s an insult. I go wooz you.” In the track, Eedris gave kudos to some rappers in the game ranging from Zaaki, Junior and Pretty, Weird MC, Dr. Fresh, 6FootPlus, J-Gangster, Ruff Rugged and Raw, Vector, MI, Raw, Ill Bliss, Terry Da Rap Man, Eldee the don, Ice Prince, and several others.

Are we seeing the return of the days Eedris and Rugged Man used their rap songs to throw punches at themselves?

(GIST): Why I didn’t talk to Fela for six years – Femi Kuti

Fela Anikulapo’s son, Femi, tells OLUFEMI ATOYEBI and GBENGA ADENIJI what people didn’t know about the late Afrobeat musician

Why did your father choose a controversial lifestyle?

It was because he was too honest about his way of life. He liked women and he did not hide it. He liked to smoke marijuana and he did it in the open. Many people like women but they do it secretly. There are so many brothels all around the world but Fela never patronised them, many people go there to pay for sex.

You will be shocked to know the number of people that smoke marijuana in Nigeria and all over the world. I hope you know that some countries are legalising the smoking of marijuana now. He was truthful about his way of life while many of us are hypocritical about ours. Many people were envious that he was too honest and bold and that was why there were so many controversies about his life.

Most of his friends who are highly-placed admire women even girls young enough to be their daughters. They leave their matrimonial homes to meet them secretly. Some of them hide in hotels to do what they cannot do in the open. Many of them smoke but they are not brave enough to say they smoke. All the call girls you see on Allen Avenue, who picks them? Fela never did.
