A few weeks after Abisagboola Oluseun John – more popular as Bankuli – was reportedly sacked as D’Banj’s manager, he has clearly debunked claims that he was sacked by the Kokomaster and insists he decided to move on to other things.

“D’Banj didn’t fire me. I just decided to move on. I was shocked when I read that he fired me. Whoever leaked that story was just being malicious,” he said.

Both parties have refused to comment on the split ever since the news broke out, but it is understood that the cracks started to appear in their relationship as 2012 ended.

There was issues bordering on trust, especially after Bankuli allegedly travelled to Paris after the Koko Concert, to work on a song with Kanye West, without D’Banj’s knowledge.

(GIST) D’banj Sets March 30 Date For Album Release

D’banj has concluded plans for hist first post-MoHits album, having set a release date for the 30th of March.

Titled ‘D King’s Men’, the album will also be a compilation tracks by D’banj’s new label-mates, his brother K-Switch & J-Sol.

The album, which will begin pre-sales on March 1st, will also contain the ever elusive Scapegoat remix with G.O.O.D Music’s Kanye West.

Official music producer for D’banj DB records, Jay Sleek, has moved into his deluxe home located in Lekki, Lagos, reports claim.

It was his birthday on February 6 and the celebrated producer had a lot to be thankful for. He posted on Twitter:

Jay Sleek became popular after he composed hits like Implication and only me for 2face with Hypertek records.

He later switched camp to work with D’banj and he has reportedly started work producing for some artists on Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music Record
