Former Minister of Information and Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC Dora Nkem Akunyili claims to have received various attacks from threats, assassination attempts to voodoo while she was at NAFDAC.
Akunyili, now aged 58, is unveiling her book, ‘The War Against Counterfeit Medicine, My Story’. She highlighted that due to her performance in school (she always topped her class), her father exempted her from all household chores, afraid that they may distract her from my studies. She went on to gain several scholarships and awards.
Akunyili’s success, as she recalls in an interview conducted in Niamey, Niger Republic, by Sun newsalmost destroyed her as some evil people attempted to kill her for doing what was right and just.
