THE TALKCITY sources tell us Seyi Shay has ended her business relationship with Cecil Hammond and his Flytime Promotions/Records outfit.
The Pop singer we are told has signed a new deal with UK-Nigerian based management company J-Management. The company released a statement today Sunday, October 6, 2013 announcing the deal along with two promo new singles.
Seyi Shay has officially signed a new partnership deal with international talent company J-Management following a pilot collaboration‘, the statement read.
Speaking with TALKCITY, a rep for the management confirmed her parting with Hammond and Flytime. ‘Yes it’s true, she left a while back, we’ve been working on this for a while‘, Bayo Akande told TALKCITY over the telephone.
This pilot collaboration might mean J-Managment would be working with another company, no other outfit is mentioned in the press release.
When TALKCITY reached Cecil Hammond by E-mail, he was not willing to divulge much details, stating ‘this is news to me, did you break us up?‘. When TALKCITY responded by asking him a direct ‘Yes or No‘ question as to if  Seyi Shay was still signed to Flytime, Hammond did not respond.
Seyi Shay’s profile on her official website does not have any mention of Cecil Hammond or Flytime in her bio or contact page.
Hammond and Flytime introduced us to Seyi Shay in 2011 when the US returnee released her ‘Loving your way‘ single and follow up video. Cecil had earlier, also introduced us to another returnee Tiwa Savagewho later left his outfit to sign with Don Jazzy‘s Mavin Records in last 2012.
Seyi Shay had a spell with Now Muzik management this year but left. A rep for the management outfit could not be reached but we are told from inside sources that Now Muzik opted to pull out.
