As the music talent show approaches its climax, tensions are heightened and the competition has become even more intense.
With each show, it becomes more difficult for the judges to decide
who gets evicted for the week as all the contestants always seem to
bring their A-game to the stage.
However, like all competitions, there can only be one winner, and the
top nine contestants who started out in the battle are now down to the
final four with DJ Switch, Patience, Vicky and Eshun vying for the star
prize.
Ethel Esi Eshun
The 21-year-old Ghanaian mother of one dropped out of school after
two years in Junior High, when her parents separated. The adorable and
talented singer manages to keep fans excited with her style and dance
moves.
Victoria Ebi Gomoti
The 20-year old singer hails from Biseni, in Bayelsa state.
A secondary school leaver who intends to further her education by
studying Mass Communication in the university, Vicky’s major attraction
is her strong voice, and with it she keeps delivering amazing
performances wowing both judges and audiences.
Mohie Patience Uyoyo Oghene
The oldest of the contestants, 49-year old Princess Pat is a mother of three daughters, who hails from Isoko South in Delta state.
She has been married to Patrick Mohie for 21 years, and loves to
describe herself as ‘an all-round entertainment person’. This
description is obviously true of the singer who week after week
continues to put up amazing performances, which most times earns her a
standing ovation.
Obianuju Catherine Udeh
Versatile and talented best describes this 29-year old rapper from
Enugu state. DJ Switch is not new in the Nigeria entertainment industry.
She was a strong member of the now defunct pop group, The Pulse which
won the 1999 Star Quest Talent Hunt show, and went on to record the hit ‘
Sotey’ with American rapper, Busta Rhymes. A professional DJ, with an
amazing ability to switch personalities, Switch has proven her
versatility, as an amazing singer, entertaining dancer, and a fierce
rapper, dropping rhymes that leave the audience thrilled.
With so much talent in the debut edition of X Factor in Nigeria, it
may very well be difficult to decide who gets to walk away as winner as
we’ll find out in the coming days…
