The Publisher of popular news website, Sahara Reporters says the online platform has been receiving cyber-attacks for the past few days.

Omoyele Sowore issued a statement, published on the platform’s official Facebook page disclosing that the unidentified ‘attackers’ had used a ‘multi-pronged approach’ to their attack as their initial attempts were suspected and wavered off.

The website is reported to have gone offline for a few hours but has since been restored.

Sowore however says server administrators have been working round the clock to keep the website safe from further attacks and described the attacks as ‘cowardly’.

Sahara Reporters is based in New York and wildly known for its radical coverage of players in politics and governance.

This follows a string of cyber attacks that have happened this year www.thetalkcity.blogspot.com, followed by gossip blogLadun Liadi and most recently general interest blog Naijaloaded.
