‘I don’t charge a kobo for collabos’, Ice Prince

Ice Prince performing at the grand finale of Star Music Trek 2013

While performing at the grand finale of this year’s Star Music Trek, Ice Prince revealed that he has never charged any artiste to feature on their song.

‘I’ve never collected a kobo to do a collabo with any artiste. If the song is dope send it to me and I’ll work with it’, Zamani stated in between his performance at the concert which held at the hockey pitch of theNational Stadium Surulere on August 10, 2013.

Perhaps the Chocolate City artiste was bothered by the rumors about highly rated musicians charging exorbitant fees for a collabo. But why should he be?

Track appearance fees are a norm in the industry. In the US, Philadelphia rapper and Rick Ross label signee Meek Mill reportedly charges $30,000 for a feature. Some Nigerian artistes are also said to charge fees for features/cameos. Buzzing rapper Olamide apparently charges N1m, his manager confirmed to us.
