President GEJ Gives Super Eagles National Honours


At a special reception hosted by the President & First lady Goodluck Jonathan, in honour of the victorious Super Eagles team, reigning champions of Africa following their AFCON 2013 win which just concluded in Abuja a few minutes ago.
The President following his speech, surprised the entire team & technical staff with National Honours, Cash & a plot of land each in Abuja.
Here’s what they Got Each:
Head Coach Stephen Keshi was conferred CON (Commander of The Order of The Niger), 10 Million Naira Cash & a plot of land in Abuja

Asst Coach Daniel Amokachi - Officer of the Order of Niger. N5m. Plot of land in Abuja
Asst Coach Ike Shorumu - Officer of the Order of Niger. N5m. Plot of land in Abuja

Team Captain Joseph Yobo was conferred MON (Member of The Order of the Niger), awarded 5 Million Naira Cash & a plot of land in Abuja
While the rest of the team was conferred with the OON (Officer of The Order of the Niger), awarded 5 Million Naira Cash & a plot of land.

Members of theTechnical crew - N2 million each

Renowned Billionaire Businessmen Tony Elumelu and Jim Ovia donated half a million dollars (About 77 million Naira X2) each to the Super Eagles, while Dangote donated N5m to each player and technical crew of the Super Eagles.

All these were given to them at the ceremony including their medals, cheques & land allocation papers.
Very Good step by the president i must say... They truly deserve it.
