(ODD WORLD):Police arrest three in Enugu for stealing 10-day-old child


Three persons, including a woman who were allegedly involved in a child theft are currently being detained by the police in Enugu state. The three culprits are being accused of stealing a 10-day-old child.
Information made available to DailyPost says the female suspect, Nwandi Chinenye, and her male counterparts, Friday Ude and sylvester Ozoll, were nabbed by the anti-kidnap unit of the Enugupolice command for the alleged criminal act.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu who confirmed the arrest to DailyPost on Wednesday, said the baby, belonging to Chinenye Egwu of Oduma Aninri local Government Area of Enugu state was stolen at Garki Awkunanaw axis of the state.
Amaraizu disclosed that the child has been recovered and re-united with his family, adding that, “the suspects are now helping the police as circumstances surrounding the alleged stealing of the child is being investigated”.
In a related development, a suspect who gave his name as Kenneth Ugwu has also been apprehended by the police for allegedly trading on fake currency note.
The police source said the suspect was nabbed by Nsukka police division, following information received at Eha Alumona town in the state.
He added that when the residential apartment of the suspect was searched, twenty eight pieces of one thousand naira fake currency notes were recovered.
