Husband arrested over wife’s death in Ogun State

Following the death of a 30-year-old housewife, Toyin Adeboye, in Imo area of Abeokuta, Ogun State, men of the State Police Command invited the husband of the deceased, to further give insights on the cause of his wife’s death.
Dare was arrested because Toyin’s family members alleged that they suspected a foul play in her death. They insisted that the husband was a prime suspect in the death of the mother of two.
Subsequently, Toyin’s family members on Monday invited the police at the Ibara Division, and got Dare arrested and detained.
Acording to a family member who does not want his name in print, the family became suspicious because Toyin had earlier called one of them to
complain about a problem in the family.
“Even on the day of her death, Toyin called one of us to say that she was having a serious problem with her husband.
“Although we don’t know the nature of the family’s problem, the next thing we heard was that she was dead. I learnt that it was Dare that called to tell the
family about the new development.
“She was not sick, so we need some serious explanation before we can bury her,” the family member said.
DailyPost gathered that Toyin’s family are demanding for an autopsy to know the cause of her death, as well as a thorough police investigation.
While confirming the arrest, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said that investigations had already begun into the
incident.
He said, “It is true and we are still investigating. We are investigating a murder case, until it is proved otherwise.”
DailyPost learnt that Toyin died at the couple’s house in the Imo area of Ogun state and her body is still being kept in the house, pending investigation.
