Multiple award-winning actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has been honoured with the BEFFTA Film Icon award, for her contribution to the film industry in Africa, Europe and globally.
The award was given to her by the Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts (BEFFTA) Awards.
BEFFTA is Europe’s biggest award ceremony celebrating achievements of black and ethnic personalities in showbiz globally.
BEFFTA founder Pauline Long praised Omotola’s great talent and commended her for being a mentor to the young ones aspiring to get into the film industry.
